giddy-up

OKI-DOKI!!! for the weekend we went down to a little town in southern utah called Toquerville. our very good friend syringa's parents have a ranch out there. who even knows how many acres they have. we had a blast. we went off roading, ate a lot of goooooood food. fresh food i might say (meat and eggs and stuff) yummy. we loved being out in the middle of nowhere just visiting playing intense card games and more. dixie and calvin are her parents and they were the greatest hosts. so the thing i WAS NOT looking forward to was GETTING on a horse let alone RIDE THE THING! oh no!! so here are the pictures of the weekend.....
First we got here pictures of the guys branding the new steers from south america. they each get an ID number.
oh and a nice contraption to hold them in place. haha.

these steers need certain size tips at the end of the horns. so they saw them off then seal them.

Rich was putting this stuff on their back so they dont get worms. they also got shot with antibiotics.

delila just being so cute sunday afternoon looking at all the cows. she kept going OOOO in a long deep voice. thats her mooing sound.. so cute. she wouldn't let go of her blankey either. kinda cute.

Now this was way cool, we were just standing around and this pigeon flew over my head like a foot over and landed on great, syringa's husband. her dad calvin was trying to get it to go to him. he wouldnt though. the pigeon flew away but then it came back the them and it is now in the chicken coupe.
richie having a blast. first looking up at the beautiful surroundings. then he and delila hanging out and then richie giving the steers de-worming stuff.

delila and i walking to the piggies and rich picking up the eggs.

delila loved these little chicks. oh and all the dogs on the property she would hug them and let them kiss her. it was ADORABLE.

on our way there and rich with the horse LEROY! that was his horse out there for the weekend.

and this is ME ( yuck) on good ole' Blue. he was so sweet to me. if you know me you know that i DO NOT LOVE HORSES AT ALL. in fact terrified of them. bee's terrify me a lil more but luckily they were not around so i only had to deal with the horses. we went on beautiful rides for the weekend. i really had a great time. GUESS WHAT, i WILL do it again. yes i will.

Syringa with delila. Delila fell asleep while riding and she also fell asleep while going off roading too on the 4wheeler. Delila was a doll the whole drive there and the whole time there and the whole drive home.

I WAS SO SO GREAT. a nice way to kick off the summer trips.

So cool Katie! I wish I could be there. But I am stuck in Cali waiting for this baby to grace me with his/her presents.
